Expanding stroke care for East Pierce County
Less than two years ago, Facilities Manager for MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, Steve Prideaux had a stroke on the job. He knew what was happening right away thanks to the stroke education he had received at work.
“The fact that I’m able to sit here today and talk to you is important, because I’m not just the Facilities Manager here, I’m also a dad, I’m a grandpa, I’m a brother,” Steve says. “I have a lot of roles, and because of the [stroke] program here, I’m still able to fulfill all those roles.”
Hear Steve’s full story at Corks & Crush on May 15. Your generosity will help pave the way for neurological care training and education at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Urgent funding needs
Children's Therapy Unit
With your support, the Mary Bridge Good Samaritan Children’s Therapy Unit helps children with special needs reach their full potential through therapies and adaptive equipment, regardless of insurance limitations.
MultiCare COVID-19 Response Fund
Donations to this fund help MultiCare advance COVID-19 testing, treatment, research and vaccinations. A $22 donation will help MultiCare reach and vaccinate a member of your community.
Helping Hands
This special fund is used by social workers in direct support of patients and families who face barriers to care and healing. Your support helps pay for items our patients need but cannot afford, such as meal vouchers, transportation, housing assistance, medications and medical equipment.
Care team support
Your donations help providers, nurses, technicians and other health care workers train together in new technologies and procedures. Your donations also continue to provide care team staff support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
